My friend has a one month old baby girl and she was telling me how she has become obsessed with sweet little headbands for her new daughter. When I heard this I wanted to make her some cute little headbands so I created a super quick and simple headband with a fluffy loopy flower.
The flower is “loopy” from the book The Crochet Bouquet: Easy Designs for Dozens of Flowers.I usually prefer to find my patterns online but my coworker recommended this book and I absolutely love it. It’s about 10 bucks on Amazon right now if you want to get a copy. You could also add any other flower of your choosing to the headband.
Row 1: Ch 3. Starting with 1st chain from hook hdc in each chain across. (3 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Hdc in each stitch across. (3 hdc)
Repeat row 2 until you achieve the desired length. Fasten off and leave a long tail. Use the tail to weave together the two ends to make a circle.
Sew your flower over the seam to hide it.
I recommend making the headband about an inch smaller than the baby’s head because it will be stretchy and you don’t want it to fall off.
Here is baby Audrey modeling her new headband.
You may use any of the patterns I create for personal use. If you would like to make an item to sell with my patterns you must link back to the pattern on my blog. You can not sell my patterns as your own.
