Every since we painted our bathroom cream I have been feeling like something is missing. It just seemed really bland. I had scoped out the shower curtains at Target multiple times in search of a possible new one. I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to replace it or not because I like our old one but it didn’t seem to fit as well as it used to.
This past weekend Mike and I were roaming around Target and I convinced him to browse through the shower curtains. We found one we both liked and the best part was it was on clearance! I knew it was meant to be. We went ahead and bought it and Mike hung it up when we got home. I am in LOVE with it! I can’t believe what a difference it makes in the bathroom. The pattern is bold so it really pops against the neutral walls.
The other update we made to the bathroom was to replace the window blind. You can’t tell very well in the picture but it was old and dirty with a weird stain in the center. The strings to move the blind up and down were hard to use and I was always frustrated when I had to use them. We waited so long to replace it because the window isn’t a standard size and the blind was custom fit.
We finally got fed up with it so we took a trip to Lowes to assess our options. We wandered around and looked at the ready fit blinds and custom blinds. The cheapest custom blind I could find was $60! Way more than we wanted to pay. Mike finally asked one of the associates for advice and she showed us these Levolor blinds. She was able to cut the blind to the correct width in store and there were instructions in the box for how to cut the length ourselves. The best part of all was it was only $15!
Mike installed the blind when we got home. He followed the instructions in the package for cutting the blind. There are little snaps on the bottom that allow you to take off the bottom piece, cut the right length, and then reattach the bottom piece. It looks awesome and works great! It was really easy to shorten and we got a custom blind for a fraction of the cost.
