We finally started to get some warm spring weather this weekend. My crocus are just finishing up blooming. They unusually only last a couple of days but I think the cool weather helped to prolong their bloom time this year.

This got me itching to get some spring planting going. I bought some onion seedlings and planted some pea seeds in my cool season bed. I already have some garlic springing up that I planted in the fall. I was hoping to try broccoli this year but I think I went a week too early to find it so I will have to try again next weekend.

If I’m really ambitious I’ll start some seeds for basil, parsley and cilantro. Tomatoes, peppers, beans and cucumbers are on my garden list this year too. I’ll probably start the beans and cucumbers but I’ll get better results with buying the tomatoes and peppers as seedlings. Suddenly this seems like an ambitious plan 🙂

Hope great weather is coming your way too!
