We had a beautiful weekend and I did a little garden clean up. I did some trimming/ deadheading and threw out my mostly dead annuals. All the fall rain and cooler weather we have been getting has really perked up all the plants in the garden. Everything is green and looking amazing. It’s like I decorated for fall in the yard without having to do a thing!
The last of my flowers are blooming in the garden. My late blooming chrysanthemum is finally in bloom. I love the dark orange color. I bought these mums at Home depot a few years ago and was fully expecting them to die out. Much to my surprise they came back and have been flourishing in the garden. I love the combo of the orange with my Autumn Joy.
My hydrangea still has a couple of blue blooms. Of course I had to include some pics of my favorite plant. Despite the drought we had this year it has really grown. It’s like a monster hydrangea and I love it. It’s the longest blooming and prettiest flower in the whole garden :0)
My other mum is still going strong. I got the yellow one the same year as the orange one. I bought two and one got so big I had to dig it out and give it away this year. This is a self seeder and I now have two little plants that popped up in its place.
